Caraway Home made its OOH debut with a bold NYC subway campaign designed to signal its evolution from cookware brand to full lifestyle presence.
Rooted in the insight that New Yorkers live with both high standards and high stress, the campaign reframed “toxic” as both a cultural truth and a product benefit. Headlines like “Break Up With Toxic” and “You Don’t Have Time for Cookware That Can’t Keep Up” met commuters mid-rush, turning everyday friction into moments of clarity.
Built as a scalable system, the work combined real customer casting, borough-specific storytelling, and clean, design-led visuals to immerse audiences in the Caraway world.By showing up in one of the most iconic—and chaotic—environments in the world, Caraway didn’t just launch an OOH campaign. It created a cultural moment, reinforcing its non-toxic positioning while expanding its identity beyond the kitchen and into the home.

“We wanted to transport commuters into a Caraway home, even if just for a moment.”

“From the beginning, Brains understood that this wasn’t just about putting beautiful creative into the subway. It was about translating the heart of our Made Better platform—our years of research, material innovation, and refusal to cut corners—into work that felt native to New York. They helped us shape a concept that spoke directly to New Yorkers: if you put up with the chaos of a daily commute, you deserve products that are truly made better.”
