We’re a team of people who care. We put each other first, every time. We do good work. Not just good-on-paper, but good-for-people work.  We look for magic in insights, in impact, and in each other. We spark joy, because we think joy is a serious business advantage.

About

Welcome to Brains, an independent full-service creative agency pursuing joy through change-making product, service, and brand.

Brains started as a simple idea. You know that revelatory, 'aha!', light-bulb feeling? That cue angel choir moment where the clouds part and inspiration strikes? It started right there. We've been daredevils from the jump. 25 years ago, we dared to run a creative business that did good work for good causes, and we dared to do it differently. We put people ahead of profit and passion ahead of product. We always have, and we always will.

As pioneers in the Word-of-Mouth marketing movement and proud B Corporation, our approach is built around storytelling, community-building, and inspiring human-to-human connections that make a positive impact on the world around us.

Today, we're a world-class band of dreamers and designers, motivated by people and purpose. Our culture, process, and creative work have been nationally recognized for their excellence and ingenuity. We work with bold, mission-driven clients and organizations seeking to spark something.

At Brains, we're redefining the agency-client relationship by acting as true business and creative partners. We merge a founder's mindset with a comprehensive suite of creative tools and seasoned experience. Together, we're committed to crafting work that achieves significant impact…we like it when stuff actually works.

Our Humans

We are not just creatives. We are amateur chefs, parents, aspiring musicians, online shoppers, poets, florists, film buffs, dog lovers and generally regular humans out here doing our best and choosing to spend our working hours with each other. Our culture is additive—we embrace bringing our whole selves to work, and we believe that this adds both depth and boundless energy to everything we do.

Our Values

tktk

We care for each other.
We put people first. Always. That means our team, our clients, and the communities we serve. We lead with empathy, show up with honesty, and treat each other like whole humans, not resources. We believe good work springs from a good environment.
We do good work.
We believe the best work isn’t just brilliant, it’s meaningful. We chase bold ideas, push past the obvious, and never phone it in. We hold ourselves to a high bar creatively, strategically, and ethically. If it doesn’t move people or make a difference, we’d rather not make it.
we look for magic.
We’re curious creatures. We ask better questions, dig deeper for insights, and follow the weird and wonderful paths that lead to breakthrough ideas. Magic lives in the margins, and we’ve gotten pretty good at finding it.
We spark joy.
Joy fuels everything we do: how we work, who we work with, and the kind of work we put into the world. We believe creativity should surprise and delight. That the best teams laugh together. And that serious impact is possible when you don’t take yourself too seriously.

We make an impact.

We work best with clients who lead with purpose, and who believe — like we do — that business can help move the world in a better direction. As a B Corp, we center our client relationships around partnership, shared values, and clear vision. The work is always stronger when we care more about a brand’s contribution to society than the sheer volume of what they sell. Also: no a**holes. That’s a non-negotiable.
