About the Role

As a Brand Strategist at Brains, we expect that you have the expertise and experience (5-7 years) to create the strategic foundation for the work we execute for our clients. As part of the strategic team, you will be responsible for ensuring that client business needs and goals are being met.

In this role, you will work with our creative, social, and account teams at all phases of a project — from insight to strategy to execution. As you will play an integral role on various projects as the messaging lead, you should be comfortable working alongside, supporting and providing critical feedback to team members at all levels of the organizations — from interns to owners, vendors to clients.

This role requires not only a strong understanding of language and communication, but also the ability to think strategically, interpret data, analyze different audiences and industries, and convey the nuances and importance of these things to internal and external teams. Because our clients and their target audiences vary widely from project to project, you should possess a curiosity about people and the things that inspire them to talk, connect and share with others.

Strategic Duties

  • Participate in onboarding and strategic insight, serving as a primary lead in developing expression of brand persona via language and story insights.
  • Lead development of presentation language/rationale supporting strategic pathways, brand identity options and community processes.  
  • Serve as the driving force behind our creative execution, working to identify key audience insights to ensure cohesive and creative execution.
  • Identify ongoing opportunities for continued growth and improvement/implementation of internal processes.
  • Serve as a strategic collaborator in growing the social media and community capacities.
  • Distill data and analytics to provide strategic recommendations accordingly.
  • Audit client communications and communications strategies for efficacy and provide strategic recommendations for improvement or enhancement
  • Provide creative ideation on a range of creative and strategic client needs on a project-by-project basis (offline events, surprise and delight, launches, influencer campaigns, etc.)
  • Provide insights and key strategic direction to our design and execution teams.
  • Keep on top of cultural, marketing, and business trends. Our strategies can only be as plugged and relevant as our ability to speak to the rapid-pace of the world around us.

Location

We have two physical locations in Greenville, SC and Los Angeles, CA. Our ideal candidate will live close to one of our offices. But we also recognize that we can do our job from anywhere and currently have employees in six states. USA only remote workers are welcome to apply!

Compensation

The starting range for this role begins at $100,000+ and varies widely based on a number of factors, which may include your skills, level, years of experience, geographic location, technical expertise, and other qualifications.
